Big headache project completed! Woohoo!

Finally, finally, finally! So, now my time is freed up a bit, and I don’t have to deal with extra stuff. So now that means I can get caught up on all the other stuff that I got behind in.

Today the entire morning was spent in a heavy meeting discussing whether we should open up submissions to new authors. Lots of pros and cons. The website still needs a makeover, possibly moving to new hosting; By two or three o’clock when the meeting ended (mainly because of exhaustion lol) no firm conclusion was reached. At least not by me. I’m not fully committed to the idea. The amount of work discussed was overwhelming to say the least.

In marketing, I’m working on a new idea. Not just a book trailer, but a song book trailer. Sometime tonight I will be posting on my youtube channel (Modern Office Girl) my book trailer song for The Time-Travel Trail Bride. It is such a beautiful song and while it was a real challenge getting the perfect video clips, I feel it will still be a positive thing. I have to go check on it and see if it’s ready yet. I am so excited to post it and see what kind of effect, if any, it has.

The illustrations for the picture book have come in and most are okay, not exactly what I expected based on the sample, but still probably usable. That is being formatted as I type this. I will also check on that before 5.

So, the only excitement in my life at the moment is my work. They say all work and no play is dull. So, oh well. I love books and publishing and for me it isn’t dull. lol
