A snippet from my book

A snippet of my book. The Main characters are Del (Philadelphia Powers) and Frankie (Frances Krane). This is a snippet from Chapter 3:

“Now we’re just boring old fuddy-duddies,” she said.

“What?” I asked in mock indignation. “Not me! Who knows, I could still be in a movie! It’s never too late to be discovered! After all, wasn’t Colonel Sanders something like a hundred when he invented chicken?”

We both laughed. “I think he was like 65,” she corrected. “And he didn’t invent chicken, it already existed.”

“We should do it!” I said with a burst of inspiration.

“What? Invent chicken?” Frankie asked in shock.
