I can’t believe how busy i am right now. I have… let’s see… seven customers lined up, each wanting multiple drawings. Three or five or six apiece. I don’t really know how these people find me, since i don’t even advertise on DeviantArt. Just word of mouth i reckon.

Usually, i have to turn some people away because they want things that are too perverted. But there’s not a single pervert in this bunch. Everything they want is something i’d draw anyway for fun.

I wish i could take a leave of absence from my job, but… fuck it, i get a lot of photoshopping done there. I just have to lay off the movies. Both Muna AND Dahir are staying awake now. And since neither of them draw, they watch movies.

Either way, i’m going to be busy for months. I had a commission spree like this last year — except that pretty much every dollar i made was basically used to recoup my losses on Mary’s trailer debacle. $1200 in, $1200 out. This year… the money is all mine. I’m going to spend it on blackjack and hookers… in fact, forget the drawing!

Yeah, life is harsh. Not really.

But boy, it once was. It’s the three-year anniversary of the Great Flood. May 2nd of 2010, man, that was a bad day. I’ve never seen anything like that in my whole life. I know i wrote about it a lot back then, but still… it was crazy. One day, i’m chilling with Morell and watching Big Trouble in Little China. The next day, it was all washed away. An entire summer working in a disaster zone. The heat. The mud. The bugs. The dust. The traffic. The not knowing when things were going to get back to normal. The utter lack of drawing…

….there are a few good memories in there. Like watching that old Chuck Norris movie with old Mr. Davis in the middle of the empty road, his DVD player propped up on an overturned bucket. Oh, that was a horrible movie.

It mostly sucked, though. But i still weep for the days before the flood. The golden age of KRH ended that day… even after the place was rebuilt, all my coworkers were gone and i spent the rest of the time being miserable with Mr. Morris. And then i was transferred to the place i am now. Oh, the pre-flood days. I miss them. I wish i could grab Muna and Dahir and carry them to KRH and work there instead of at the boring place we’re at. We would rule that place from midnight to eight.

Uhhhhh fuck i like stir fry. It’s all i know how to cook anymore.

Helena sent me an awesome shirt but it’s a mite too small. I am a large person.

Fuck!

Time to walk the dogs and get back to work.
