let’s try that again
I was linking those last pictures from the website where they are stored, which is like an email box apparently, and that didn’t work – although it worked for me, and I could see them even when I logged out of my diary. Weird. I had no idea it wasn’t working for anyone else. (Now that I’m logged back in, they are still showing up for me on that last entry – I’m on a different computer now. Why is that????)
WELL, I’ll just copy that last entry and put it in here WITH the photos and not the little x’d out boxes. I have spent HOURS trying to get back into that idiotic site, so now I’m not quite as enchanted with it as I was this afternoon. Again, no idea why I couldn’t get in. Or why it finally let me in, although I did disable the popup blocker finally, so maybe that had something to do with it. It didn’t seem to, but who knows.
Anyhow. HERE’S the entry and pictures that better show up now that I’ve spent FOREVER doing this:

Okay, I’m probably the last person on earth to get a picture phone – and I only got one because my old phone (which wasn’t at all old but was kind of a cheap little thing) had gotten to where it didn’t hold a charge and I never heard it ring and it was – quite honestly – boring. I hated the ring tones when I did hear them, and you couldn’t do anything FUN with it. I started looking around and Verizon was having a deal where if you extend your contract you could get a picture phone for $30. Naturally I didn’t decide to do it until the deal was over, but it was just $50 anyhow. And quite honestly, I felt like since our parents are getting in such bad shape and we need to be very accessible and I’ve always got my phone on now, I could at least buy myself a FUN phone. So, I ordered a fun phone.
And it is REALLY fun – not only does it take photos, it takes video! And you can send them to a website to store, which pleased me as I actually woke up in the middle of the night before it arrived, thinking, “oh no – how do I get the photos from the phone to the computer???” I really had no idea how they worked. But it’s a breeze – you just take the photo and tell the phone to send it to your inbox. Of course I’m probably going to find this is costing me like a million dollars – I THINK it’s just airtime and I always have lots of that left over since I never use the phone (until now) but I guess I’ll find out.
So. I’ve been taking pictures.
This is like the most unflattering picture ever, but it amuses me since it was around midnight and I’d spent HOURS trying to get the cats to be still and let me take their pictures. For this one I drug Stella into the bathroom where there was more light. Note the patient look on Stella’s face. And my Crazy Doll hair.
Today is Freshman Move In Day, and the traffic is just ghastly. I mean, more ghastly than usual, and it’s always pretty horrible here. I kept trying to take pictures of all the traffic, until I started to seriously fear I was going to be taking a picture of me rearending someone. Which would be handy for the insurance company, having the photographic evidence and all, but not such a good thing for me. So here I am sitting in traffic. Still have the Crazy Doll Hair thing going on. My skin is not usually so odd and multicolored, either. Obviously this isn’t the greatest camera in the world, but it sure is fun.
And, finally, my office. This is why I am about to lose my mind. And now I really must go as we have the Dreaded Orientation Meeting Monday for the student teachers, and I’m not ready. Of course. I just can’t quit playing with my new toy.
I can see them this time! Wish I could learn how to USE my cellphone camera!!!!!!!!! I take the world’s WORST pictures.

Nope, you’re not the last person in the world to get a camera cellphone. I don’t have one yet! Maybe some day….

LOL at the phrase “doll hair.” The traffic face says it all.

I can see them! My youngest son just started technical college to get the 15 hours he needs to go in the Marines, my daughter in law to be is in school online to get her associates, I am in school online to get my masters, the only ones not in school are my mother and my cat and sometimes I think my cat is smarter than all of us.
