hallelujah, everybody say cheese

It’s nearly one in the morning and I am on the netbook — which I love and appreciate and every time I travel I’m glad to have it… but it also has the most maddening keyboard ever, and it keeps doing really irritating things, like the inexplicable vanishing of whatever I’m typing, and, even better, occasionally the whole browser window will shut down for no apparent reason, and the cursor is always ending up in the completely wrong damned place (it’s done that FOUR FUCKING TIMES during this ONE SENTENCE, resulting in much swearing and looks like I’m going to make this even quicker than I planned). Anyhow, basically the netbook is a huge pain in the ass to type on but since it is Christmas Eve here, I have to post my favorite Christmas song. And also cheer about how we are in Charleston, hooray!!!! and I’d post some pictures except the netbook is making me crazy and also our connection here at the lovely Red Roof Inn is pretty awful. Free, but awful.

So happy Christmas if you’re doing Christmas and happy whatever you are doing this weekend to whoever isn’t and enjoy this Southern Gothic Christmas Song:

And if you don’t see it, hit refresh. I don’t know why it does that.

I do the same thing on my laptop where the palm of my hand touches the little mouse pad. I have learned to plug my usb mouse in and turn the pad on the laptop off so it doesn’t annoy me like yours is doing you right now. 🙂 works like a charm for me. Merry Christmas to you! Glad you got to travel where you wanted to go!

All the best, including a cooperative keyboard to you and Baker B and the cats. I am glad you were able to get away.

Merry Christmas! Netbooks are made for gamers is my theory! Miss you!

Happy Christmas! Oh I share your annoyance with netbook keyboards. Designed for child’s fingers. Well done on struggling through 😉

Merry Christmas to you, too. My netbook does the disappearing cursor trick, too. It seems it’s just what netbooks do.

Brilliant video!! Hooray for Charleston. Another on my long wish-list of places to one day get to… (PS: Our laptop does lots of strange shit when I hit ctrl rather than shift. Doubt you’d do that.)

I’m glad that you finally got away. The song is really funny.
