blatant plea for information

SO, if you have a digital camera and I haven’t already gone begging for info from you, tell me what kind you have! Especially if you love it. I’ve pretty much decided to make the leap and go digital, and I don’t know much about them. I do want one that’s pretty comparable to my *WAIL* wonderful manual BROKEN Pentax, but geeze there’s a lot out there. The good thing is they’ve come down in price astonishingly.

And on the up side, if I get a digital it won’t take me weeks to scan my photos. Like the Las Vegas ones which I got developed SATURDAY and which were surprisingly good for Lomos that are trying to act like photos from a normal camera and which I have yet to scan and post. Of course, the down side is that I’ll probably do nothing but post photos for the rest of my life.

So, tell me what you’ve got! And if you hate it, tell me that too! I’ll be eternally grateful, and I’ll shower you all with photos.

I love my little PowerShot Digital Elph by Canon. It is only 2 megapixel – I’ve had it for years and could prolly get 4-5 megapixel for about the same price now! It is pretty intuitive and easy to use. You can point and shoot or fool around witht he settings. What first attracted me was size (about that of pack of cigarettes) and ability to always have it in my bag. -c-

My reasoning, however flawed, is that more good pics are missed because you don’t have a camera than because the camera isn’t great enough! Digis are tooooo fun. You will love it. Also you can take 10 shots to get just the right one since you are not paying for developing!

I’m going to have to nudge in here and pay special attention to this entry. I’m wanting a digital for Christmas, and I need to know what good kind to get as well!!

I have loved my Canon Power Shot for 5 yrs ….. it is like an extension of my hand. Not a pro just take family snapshots…I had a Kodax for about a week …. the battery life on it was awful ….. I probaly be buying one with more pixals soon but 3.1 has served me well all these yrs, & it will be a Cannon. It’s really all you need if the largest pic you want is 5X7’s

I had an Olympus. (Can’t remember the exact model, because it got stolen this past August. ) It was small, easy to use, and worked on my ornery old Macintosh. (That was the most important part.) I wish I still had it. I want to choke the person who took it. Cuz it’s going to be a loooooooongggg time til I can afford a new one. And I am missing so many pics because I don’t have a camera. My

dogs, and all the really cool fall colors around here right now. (And I am a camera addict. I never leave home without it. Or at least I didn’t. ) Grr. Sorry to rant on your note section. The word “camera” tends to set me off anymore. 😛

My current digital is a Canon A70. It’s small, easy to use, and feels right in my hands. I like that it uses regular AA batteries — rather than some special battery I have to hunt for, and I’ve been impressed with the battery life. This model is a couple years old now. I’ve had mine for the same amount of time. It has held up well and the price was right.

(randomed in) I’ve used Canon digital cameras for years and have been very happy with them. They come in a wide array of price ranges, depending on how much you want to spend. Cheers!

my fuji is a tuff camera, it really takes beating as i carry it everywhere with me. it takes photos in the semi dark without a flash is the batteries last a long time.it never shows a wrinkle on my face, though it is very good at automatic focusing and gives great detail for everyhing but wrinkles. down side? it takes a different chip, does not zoom focus at all, and has no photomachine attachemen

i’m sorry your pentax broke! that’s sad … but digital is aweseome! i use a canon digital rebel (300d), and LOVE it! you can use different lenses like you can with a film camera and everything! LOVE IT!
