and, finally, Charleston Lomos

Since I’m at work and am restless. Oh, remember the typewriter? I went to Staples all filled with hope for a shining new friendly typewriter, and they had two in the store. Both versions of what I already have. Neither of which you could see what you were typing on. I went to WJ Office Supplies and they have none in the store, but some in the catalogue. Which does me no good since we have to order from Staples. I just wanted to test some out then see if Staples had them in their catalogue. I’m pretty sure we don’t have an account with WJ anymore, although they assured me that we certainly did – they looked bored and desperate, and eager to lie about our account status. Went back to the office and looked in my Staples book – nothing but what I’ve got. They did have a few others online, but they were $300-400 and how do I know they aren’t as bad as this monster lurking in my corner?? Bottom line, I’m just keeping it. I rarely use it anyhow. I’ll sneak over and use K’s when I absolutely have to.

A bay window and porch on the Battery at night.

                      A doorway.

                    Berlins, on King Street.

A pharmacy on King Street, across from Berlins. I love those old neon signs.

Despite this looking more like a UFO hangout than a restaurant, it really is a restaurant. With cool circle lights that change colors constantly.

This is actually a  less blurred photo of it from last summer.

                        The Dock Street Theatre.

Yet another graveyard! I’m not obsessed with graveyards. No, really, I’m not!!

And, finally, a house on the Battery in daylight. I had another one of another huge dramatic house on the Battery, but it seems to have vanished. I’m having some issues with Picturetrail, who wants me to pay even more than the $20 I’m already paying a year to expand my storage space. I get either 500 photos or 50 MB of storage, and I have 500 photos but only 20 MB. I know that’s the rules but looks like if my photos aren’t taking up half the space I am theoretically allowed, then I could have more photos. And I don’t want to pay more money OR weed them out. I have no point, other than I think that picture vanished when I was transferring and my limit was exceeded.

And I have no idea how I’ve managed to get FIVE HUNDRED PHOTOS in my account.

Now maybe I can get to my tag things.

These are gorgeous! Have you tried Image Shack? That’s the site I use to host my photos, and it’s free. You get all the storage you want. I donated a bit of money, though, just because I’m so impressed with the site.

Love these – especially the first one – and that graveyard looks quite spooky!

ooh, ahhh! I particularly like the UFO alien restaurant one. In my last job, soon to be the job I had before the last job, we had a monster typewriter on a rolling cart that lived in my office. People were always finding uses for it and it came with a vintage repair guy who would just appear periodically. Maybe he came from that restaurant???

aye, it is a mystery how you manage to rack up the 500! Not as if you are prolific with fotos or nothing ….
