Antithetic Essence

We cannot survive without one another,
Yet we cannot be together.

You are Night, I am Day;
You are Darkness, I am Light;
You are Pain, I am Comfort;
You are Fear, I am Serenity;
You are Death, I am Life.

We are as one, yet we are separate;
We must be united, yet stay single;
We are the same, and yet we are different.
We are not bad when we are together,
But we would destroy, and be destroyed if one were alone.

There is bad, and there is good.
One cannot outweigh the other,
or the one would be robbed of what it was that it is.
It would be forever changed, there would be no balance.
We would forget our counterpart, and so be lost to ourselves forever.
Without the other, one means NOTHING.

We keep one another strong.
When one grows weak
The other does not strengthen, but also grows weak.
We need to keep one another strong, but not lose our identity.
We must keep in balance, or forever pay the price.
