i’ll never smoke weed with willie again

Snuggling on the couch right now with the Rug Rat… I love him.  

And thinking about a new friend to snuggle with very soon!  

We found him at a puppy store we’ve been visiting every so often for the past year.  He’s actually been there for about 7.5 months, but we hadn’t gone in a long time.  

The good news about that is that he is now 10 months old and only $350.  That’s still quite a bit of money to spend right now (plus 2nd round of shots, neutering, and all sorts of other stuff), but mixed breed dogs are normally $900 at that store.  Not to mention, because he’s 10 months old, he’ll be easier to crate-train and house-train.  

We played with him for awhile last night and he was SO gentle, quiet, and affectionate.  He played with the toys a little bit, but was overall very calm.  Which is a quality we really want in a dog – a little guy who will play but doesn’t have a TON of energy.

We’re going to talk to our vet this week about the cost of neutering and shots, look into the items we’d need to buy, and potentially get him next weekend!
