la. Driving home from work today I passed a broken down truck with a toothless woman standing beside it and a couple hundred yards up the steep hill was an obese looking girl. So I pulled over. Turns out the girl goes to the HS where I work at every day. Fun.
Their truck had run out of gas. I drove the girl up to the repair shop and they lent us a gas can, so I drove to the gas station and put a few gallons of gas on my card since the girl didn’t have any money and then drove it and the girl back to the awaiting mother. (Who, actually, wasn’t toothless. She had ONE tooth on the top….) Thankfully the truck started. Apparently they just got it out of the shop and the gas gauge was still broken, so they had just run out of gas.
Then off to yoga. Delightful, once again. And K was there– counsellor who I saw sometimes at the other campus during nsg school. She’s really a lovely, lovely woman. (red head *grin*) Much different style than J, from what I recall. I didn’t see her very often. But that 15 mins a week kinda kept me hanging in there, so that’s good. I guess. heh. No, it is good.
I feel like a total idiot for going back to nsg instead of going for psych. Lah. But, once again, I was trying to please other people and not myself. Only I convinced myself I was doing it for me, not for them. men.
It’s late, I should go to bed.
I spend a lot more time in my living room now, on the couch with my laptop. It’s nice. And Journey always, always comes over and curls up with me. heh. Usually right on *top* of my left arm. Which is ok, unless I need to move my arm! Silly kitty. Oh but I adore her. I just look down at her, snoozing so peacefully, and curled up so tight and solid next to me, trying to get as close to me as physically possible, and I just have to smile. This is the same cat who flinched every time I tried to pet her when I brought her home. I’m guessing she came from/ran away from an abusive home. She still flinches with me sometimes, but not often. Usually she’s doing everything she can to be as close to me as possible. She’s not as cat-like as Pandora.
‘Dora’s more…aloof. She does sleep on the bed now- but only at the foot, not near my head. Dunno if that’s cuz that’s where Journey sleeps or just because. And she rarely curls up next to me on the couch unless I’m laying down. Tho she does greet me faithfully at the stairs every day when I come home from work 🙂
What can I say, I love my girls!
Kleio is doing well. I just posted pics of her. The fishes and snail are also doing good. And my clipping from J that I’ve had forever, that I *finally* planted in dirt, is growing new leaves!!! It’s Frappie jr jr, I think? I’m so excited!
Ugh. 1am, why am I still awake?? Cuz I’m addicted to Scrabble, that’s why! (www.scrabulous.com)
*HUG* Very sweet of you to stop and help. Scrabbaholics… not me, but I like the game. LOL! I’m more of a card player. 😉

oh no… (I made the mistake of checking out the scrabble site… all my “you don’t need to get addicted to any more online stuff” instincts said, “don’t do it!!” but I did… 🙂 You are such a sweetheart. Good accumulation of + karma. 🙂

ryn: Don’t worry. I left my editor’s hat at work 🙂 ryOTHERn: That’s a fantastic idea. Thank you! I just try to think of the baby, but that’d provide a reminder as to why I’m not cutting. Crying’s really not as much fun, though. And seems to accomplish about as much. Just this desire for more.

The interview was great; he was so adorable. THEY were so adorable. TR talked about how Ellen was a role model for him, basically, and that he didn’t want to come but felt obliged to. And was none too pleased with Washington, who hasn’t actually apologized. Lots of stammering; I think he’s not good with crowds.

It’s sad to think that anybody could abuse a kitty, but it’s nice to know that you’ve given one a good home. I have two of my own…they’re little goofy furballs of love.

Hi, and thanks for the note. I think one of the best effects of the front page is that one does get to meet new folks. I actually haven’t had the guts to see Boys Dont Cry yet. But then, I saw a TV movie called “A Girl Like Me: The Gwen Arujo Story”. It’s about a MTF who get assaulted and killed. this can be a scary world. I am constantly grateful to those who have gone before and sacrificed so much to make journey’s like mine a little easier. thanks again for stopping by and noting. nice to have kind words to read. 😉 -Jude

I hope everything is good. I saw AJ is still around and I am soooo happy. I hope everything is going great for you. I’ll try to catch up more soon! Michelle
