Kina (Pics Within)*

This will be somewhat quick, as I’m technically procrastinating studying for micro and shouldn’t be spending time posting anything.

Saturday night, something awesome happened.  I witnessed an amazing performance by Kina (and ate delicious escargot and crepes beforehand).  But, moreover, I met her afterward.  It went by so quickly, it’s like a total blur, now….however, the one thing I remember is her reaction when I told her how much I had raised for Run Team Kina.  I think she wasn’t even really sure what to say and was taken aback a bit.  "….What did you say your name was, again?"  I think that was what was really touching, for me.  And, guys….we’re at $581, now….$581.  That’s $81 over the goal!  I think I’m in denial at this point as to just how incredible that is.  The next step is going to be battling my body in order to get through the training.  I’m planning on a 5K both in June and July, and I’ve got a long way to go before I can run those few miles.  But, hell if I don’t try my damnedest once Hell Week is over with… 

Oh, I also asked her to sign my RTK shirt.  It shall stinkify all it encounters for all time after I run in it since I don’t want to wash it now, ha.

This is Jesse, also known as Imaginary Friend.  You may have seen him around on the Youtubes.  What’s awesome is that he apparently has been going on runs with Kina as she’s training for a half-marathon.  They ran 10 miles the other day in the freezing rain – crazy!

Who needs lamps to light up a room when they’ve got my body (alternately, this is why I don’t like flash)?  And, there’s Kina, all photogenic and such. :p  

And so, I has a happy!  It’s just overshadowed by Doomsweek, temporarily…..

Ugh…and, now for studying a semester’s worth of micro overnight.
