He replied to an email I’d sent about a month ago, tonight.  It was bad timing, but I’m glad he did.  I think I’m actually starting to realize just how different we are….and, even just reading the way he writes to me, it’s like…I don’t want to be with someone like that.  Even if the hurt is still there, any residual hope in the back of my mind about things ever being any different is vanishing.  I need someone who is kind, supportive, sensitive, considerate, understanding, and is ok with me having flaws and not being some kind of superwoman.  I need someone who is going to be positive and make me feel better, not awful.  It’s just a matter of whether I’ll ever find that person.

It’s very freeing to realize that the person you are hurting over is not worth your time.

RYN: Subject tests are only offered a couple times a year, and you are graded against your peers who took the test on the same day. So they need time to weigh everyone’s score against the performance of the group as a whole.
