Most awesome Thanksgiving evah!

So N and I headed down to his parents yesterday morning. We got there….hung out some. Me put the duck on the grill..we all sat and drank beer and ate some zucchini carpaccio, some asparagus wrapped in capiocola and some brie and baguette. Yes it was a high class deal except we were in jeans, tshirts and drinking cheap ass beer and cheap ass bourbon lol.

We had Peking duck with homemade mushu pancakes. It was awesome. Some Pumpkin Pie later for a small desert.

There were some baby clams and conch but they were just headed in some butter and I wasn’t feeling like getting that seafood taste in my mouth. N’s dad chowed down on them though.

So basically we ate so much that we didn’t get around to the lobster tails. N has to work tonight so he is going to cook them for me tomorrow.

We sat around and drank and talked all night. I didn’t talk a lot…I was enjoying listening to N and his dad get all excited telling stores about when they worked at the country club together. They were complaining about family…I told them I don’t have a lot…just my mom. All my grandparents are dead as is my dad and step-dad. I have some aunts and stuff but we aren’t a close family. His dad said well now you have lots of family…

Keep in mind, his parents know nothing about our wedding plans…they still haven’t been told. But his dad looked at me and said he liked me…N said that has NEVER happened before…and he doesn’t understand how I just got completely accepted in such a short period of time lol. We have only been dating what…coming up on 3 months and known each other for 4…yet it feels like forever.

So this was the most fun and relaxing thanksgiving I have ever had. N’s dad kept saying it was the best thanksgiving ever lol. I love his family..they are coming up Sunday to watch football with us so that will be fun.

Yep, when you marry someone, you also marry their family. And while that should be enough, you also marry the inlaws.
