A New Year
Well, my sweet dog. I’m entering a new year. My first one without you in 13 years. While others are welcoming a new year, I’m still missing you. I wish the pain from your leaving would leave with the old year. I think of you every day and still shed tears, wishing you were still with me. I still wish you’d come and see me. I miss you so very much.
Thanks for your note. Hey! I have “Marley & Me” PLUS I have Ceasar Milan’s book. I’ve read a bit of both but haven’t had a chance to complete them yet. By now I’ll just have to start over from the beginning because I’ve forgotten the beginnings! I purchased the Marley book for my son & dil in Virginia because they too have a Yellow Lab (like me)–Amanda couldn’t put the book down. I can’t waitto read about Marley…it sounds like a wonderful story. Happy New Year to you, too! May you heal to where you find a smile slowly crossing your face…at a memory of Duke rather than the fresh pain you’re still experiencing. Your spirits are together…just believe…

Welcome to my diary, which is all but moribund, I’m afraid. I’ve not been yet able to write about the loss of my beloved dog yet.
