the road not taken…

There is a banging outside that only happens when I take a nap. I find this horribly wrong and unfair.

So…my life is pretty much awesome right now…not gonna lie. Adam seems to have seen the light, although, I’ve got abour a 5% unsure feeling about it…he’s just not there yet…I know he will be soon, it just seems like he’s struggling a bit with some things. I’m not sure what yet, but I’m sure it’ll come about soon. I’m really happy right now, and I know he’s part of the reason why.

Another big part of the reason why is because my financial situation just got so much better in the realm of student loans. That’s right, kiddies, I was accepted into school that will knock my tuition payemtns down by $14,000 a semester. The best part, it’s a better school with better facilities. I get to live at home again, which I totally don’t mind. It means I get to see Moose and Maria more…and with Maria popping out the baby in April, well, it’ll be nice to be there and not have to sit through a grueling 2 hour train ride while she’s in the hospital.

The next week or two is going to be insanity wrapped in a blanket of awesome. My Mom and Randy are going to be up here on Monday evening, I’ll be arriving home Tuesday night…I think Wednesday is chill day, Thursday is Thanksgiving…Paul is taking the train up that day to spend the holiday with my family. Adam will be visiting Friday morning through Saturday afternoonish. Sunday my Mom goes home, Monday I head back to le city for another week of classes, then it’s make up week, and then finals. And thheeeeeennn I move back home.

I’m going to miss the city…really. It’s…becoming home. I haven’t lived anywhere but here for the last year. I worked all summer here, I made one of the best friends I’ve ever had through working as an RA. I just…I can’t afford it. It’s a sad fact, but a fact nonetheless. I’ll probably cry on my last day in the city. I really thought this is where I was going to be for a long time. I guess there are other doors opening for me, and other opportunities and paths I have to take.

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
