I wish everyday could be like this
I finally went to Ohio Relay yesterday morning. Mom decided to take the long route so we ended up about 5-6 miles out of the way but we found it at least. I don’t know who to blame this on, me or mom or just the both of us, but when we got there and I was filling out the application, I realized that I didn’t have my job criteria with me, which in turn, my mother told me that I probably didn’t need, said that all I would probably need is my SSN and my driver’s license. Got to the work ethic part and drew a complete blank on what month I started the jobs and when I ended so I had to guess. Then when it came down to references, I put down my friend Rachael’s name and found I couldn’t remember her last name since she was now married. I knew the last part was rock so after a few minutes I just put Breckrock. (Later I would find out by her that it is Sandrock) Got down to another friend’s name, found I couldn’t remember the house # to her house, knew the street AND her phone #, but not the house #. Once again, I would remember the # AFTER I was at Rachael’s.
Yea it was a mess but after I got done filling out the application, the lady at the desk took me by her office for a simple typing test. When I was finished, she told me I did very well. Made only 6 errors with a 98% accurancy. Told me that they were on a "job freeze" for now but to keep calling back every few days to check on the job. I’ll probably call them sometime next week.
After that was done, mom drove me to Rachael’s. We had one tough time finding it for some reason. I thought for sure I knew where it was but it turns out it was in a different area than I thought it was. The funny thing is I was talking to her the whole way there and through all that we ended up going past her doorway. She laughed in the phone and said "Heyy, you passed me." I looked back and she and maddison were waving. So I grabbed their presents and headed in the house. We drove around to places Rachael needed to go then headed back. After we got in the house, I started taking pictures of Maddison and Rachael. Then Rachael put Maddison to bed Maddison didn’t like that too well haha but she went to sleep after a few minutes.) Then we sat down and just started talking about various things. (At least things that people would find debateable.)
We talked till Matt came home then we went out to eat. On the way in, Rachael asked him what kind of meat he preferred and he of course said two white breasts and that he didn’t like dark meat too well or something along those lines, in which I told him that I’d get him back for that later.
While Matt was getting the food, Rachael and I had sat down at a table and talked about men, sex and whatever else came to mind. Matt every now and then chimed in when he would hear one of us speak up about "size". I made it a point then to put my 2 cracks in. I said "Well as we all know, most people like white chicken, but have you ever tried mixed." Rachael cracked up at that. Then we got onto "size". . .Matt asked Rachael what size mashed potatoes she would like the big or small, knowing what was coming next, me and Rachael both looked at each other. He said "The little is only about 3 inches but the big one is about 5-6, which one do you want?" In which I replied loud enough for only Rachael to hear "Better take the big, the little one you can swallow whole." She about fell out of her chair laughing.
Matt then called a friend of theirs to see if he wanted to go to the movies with us, in which he did. We got to the theater (which is only 3 blocks from here.) and we got there and it was really quiet. We decided to see "FlightPlan". The girl that gave us our tickets I knew her from previous visits so I talked to her for a few. Afterwards, found out the movie wasn’t going to start for another 15 minutes so me and Rachael sat by the wall of the movie theater and took pictures. So we find some seats near the middle and find some girls taking pictures. Taking out my own camera, I ask Matt’s friend to tell one of the girls if she can take our picture. (Now that I look at them, one picture is kinda creepy, got one of rachael and it looks like she has a light illuminated around her and the rest of us are dark haha) After the movie was over, they took me home.
On the way up to the driveway, I spot my mom’s "friend’s" car in our driveway. Not meaning to, I blurt out that I hate when he’s here. After I got out of the car, I thank Matt for driving me home, Rachael tells me to call her the next day (today) close the door, go around the car and as I’m walking up to the driveway, I slip on a patch of black ice, falling on my ass. I sit there in the driveway laughing my ass off and so does everyone in the car. I get up slowly and Matt rolls down his window and said "Do you do that often?" I laugh and tell him no.
I go up to the door and knock. No answer. I ring the doorbell. No answer. Rachael gets out of the car, hands me her cellphone, I call her cellphone. No answer, I try again. Finally she picks up the phone I ask her where she is, she’s asleep! I tell her that I’m outside and if she can let me in. She gets to the door, lets me in. Rachael then hugged me and told me bye.
In my room, I saw a new tv, which is one of my christmas presents (I’m hoping to god the rest of them aren’t some girly/kiddy crap or I’m going to be pissed.) So to make this long entry not any longer than it already is, I had a wonderful time last night. The most fun I’ve had in a long time and I really appreciate it. Wish I could have days like yesterday everyday.
