Fill of the internet – Christmas gifts

Last night I got my fill of the internet. For the first time in a long time I got extremely bored of surfing.
There’s only so much you can look at in the span of a few hours before it starts to get mundane.
Maybe I’m just getting a little burned out on the whole internet thing. I’ve used the internet since I was 16. I’ve seen practically everything there is to see. But yet I can’t keep away from it. Why? Because of who I know on here.

I have friends in other states, that without the internet I wouldn’t be able to keep in contact with. Especially the family. Some of the family have quit using the telephone and resort to using email/im for conversation, which is all fine and good but every now and again, you want the good ole’ conversation of hearing someone’s voice on the other line. Text messages are fine. A lot of my friends are at work and can’t talk on the phone so they decide to text me, that’s okay. I can always go for a text message, it helps me get through the day sometimes.

Back onto the subject . . . I know people that have stayed on here for more than 10 hours. I used to be able to do that. I can’t anymore. I have to rest my eyes and do something else. Like I said, there’s only so much stuff you can do online before you get bored of seeing the same websites over and over again.
Am I right?

Anyway, I’m already hearing about the Christmas rush. Everyone’s trying to get their packages sent out.
Thank god I sent mine out early. One of my friends already received theirs. The other one I’m hoping they get theirs soon. They told me they hadn’t gotten theirs yet, which worried me because it should have only taken 2 days to get there. Hopefully if they didn’t get it today, they’ll get it tomorrow. (Im hoping someone didn’t take it off their front porch…its that time of the year again that people begin to start stealing other people’s presents.)
Hopefully everything will turn out okay.

Yeah I agree about the internet. I been on here since I was about 15 and I’m 22 now. There is only so much you can see on the internet especially in one sitting, it just gets lame after awhile. I don’t think I can ever leave the net completely, it’s kinda like how you feel with the phone or the tv. It’s always going to be there. I’m getting off now! LOL

I used to be an internet addict. Spent what seemed like every waking moment of my free time surfing. Then I realized I had a serious addiction, so I cancelled my internet subscription outright for almost a year. Now I get bored with the net after about 10 minutes. Okay, now it’s up to about 15 since I read and comment on open diaries, lol.
