Writer’s Conference
A friend of mine from school has been published in Chicken Soup for the Soul, and is going to be presenting a lecture at a writer’s conference in a nearby big city. She told me if I paid my entry fee that I could ride with her and share the hotel room. It’s a tempting offer, but it’s $300 just to get into the conference. Although they do feed you lunch and dinner. Hmm, I’ll havet to think about it. But it could be really cool. I could denfinitely learn alot about how to get published and get my name out there. Haha, but first I should probably finish the novel I’ve been working on since I was 15 so that there might actually be something to publish. Right now all I’ve got are a bunch of poems and a few short stories.
School is starting next week. I’m looking forward to the lighter class load for this semester. Still living at home which always has its draw-backs, but I save a little money by doing so.
I just want a space of my own, and I feel like my car is the only space that’s truly mine. I dream of getting my own house someday, with whole rooms to be filled!
