Love’s Release
Rock sharp and deeply wounded
There’s no coming back from the dark
But I’ve found a sedative
That’s highly inspirational
In the back of my moving vehicle
In this trunk so deep
A cave of thoughtful heirlooms
You should know my heart
From the bitter to the beautiful
A pouring down of oil that anoints all I see
Because inside me it’s breaking over and over
These canyons of despair and valleys of elation
The Savage rejects the soma
And so I let myself go in every way I can
To empty myself of self
To be nothing so I can be everything
And as I am so free like the first creation
You should know my heart
If it be in His design
If you should so choose
To gather your strength and integrity
To rally your honesty and humor
To be so bold as to dare to know my heart
