Quickie
The Rat Dog, aka Brandy the Chihuahua went to the vet for her 6 month checkup today. She got her licker fluid refilled, her tail wagger adjusted and lubricated, and her eyes bugged out.
Seriously, she got the rest of her shots, a heartworm test and her monthly meds, and a general health exam. She’s doing great. She’s 6 months and weighs 4 lb 8 oz so based on the puppy weight calculator she should only top out at a little more than 5 lb. After having a 27 lb Boston Terrier for 11 years she’s like a toy, I’m constantly afraid I’ll break her.
It’s been rather busy around here. Between work and household stuff I’ve been going fairly constantly. I don’t even remember when I updated last so I’ll cover the high points. I had to travel to KY for a work project on Labor Day and stay the week. The morning I left the A/C died in the house, my regular HVAC guy got it running again but it’s been limping along for the past year so I bit the bullet and had a new Rheem installed. $4800 later the A/C issues are fixed, I find the temperature much better regulated now and the new fan coil unit in the attic puts out more airflow too.
I went to Atlanta for a model car show last weekend, that was fun and I picked up some good bargains from the vendor table also. I will be going to the beach from Saturday-Wednesday before Thanksgiving so that’ll be fun. I hope the weather cooperates.
Ha, that’s a good way of describing a vet visit;)No AC in the south is awful!! Sounds like a $4800 wisely spent:)
