Permanence

In my entire life, through all of my previous relationships, I was always looking for permanence.
It’s a funny thing, though.  If you’re looking for it, or worried about it, the truth is you don’t have it.  It’s only when you recognize that years have past without a second thought to how long something will last that you realize you’ve achieved what you’ve sought all along.

Sure, we encounter bumps in the road.  While it’s driven me away from others, it drives me further into your arms, we steady each other on the road and laugh when we fall over together over something we never saw coming.  It’s these moments when you glow that I understand the meaning of this love and truly appreciate and recognize its value.
