Feels like Home
After almost four years, it’s hard to believe that Open Diary is back up and writing. Although I could have sworn I had a lifetime membership when it went down, I’m sure there are several glitches that still need to be addressed. Today is merely day one.
So much has changed in my life in the past four years, it’s hard to know where to begin. This year, Devon and me celebrate our 7 year anniversary of being together, and in September, we will celebrate our six year wedding anniversary. In just over 3 months, I will be graduating from college with a degree in history that only took me 20+ years to get. From there, I will be going to graduate school – I’ve applied so far to 3, have an acceptance so far from one, and I’m still researching additional options. I’m starting to think about the possibility of a PhD, but that’s quite a bit down the road, and I’m not entirely sure what my options are yet. As of now, it’s entirely impossible to get a terminal degree online but with everything advancing so fast, it’s hard to say where things will be three year from now.
I’m currently at work, but I will be updating more later this weekend. It is exciting and bittersweet to see OD back and running – it contained so many years of my life, I’m excited to see what the coming years will bring.
I love your title, sums up a lot of our feelings about the relaunch perfectly!
