Peace of God

Interesting verse..my Dad sent it 2 me this morning.. and got me thinking..

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving (let your requests be made known unto God.) And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7

Makes U wonder..

There is a few interesting things about this that immediately jump out at me..  I don’t know why but at the begining it implies a pernament continual and non stop prayer and supplication AND thanksgiving…. like a lifestyle.. a never ending and without hesitation.. I don’t sense an emergency relationship alone but a day and daily existance.. a relationship that is always pleading is not very healthy.. however one that is supplication and thanksgiving has balance and life about it..

If a relationship has thanksgiving in it then continually U are reinforcing UR faith and trust in God.. if it is always supplication then it is easy 2 forget wot God has done.. but through thanksgiving we remind our greymatter just what God has done..

And wot is the result??? Of this life of prayer, supplication and thanksgiving??? Wot happens??

The peace of God comes in and keeps our hearts and minds..  Yes as a result of approaching God with our prayers and praise then we automatically trust Him more and believe that He will answer our prayers.. it won’t be an impersonal relationship but an imtimate and trusting.. when He does answer our prayers in these circumstances then it isn’t going 2 be a suprise.. because we trust and know Him so we will be suprised when He doesn’t answer our prayers.. :D:D:D wot a place 2 be in! 🙂

(It should be pointed out that through this intimate relationship our prayer life will also be more intune with the heart beat of God therefore our prayers won’t be as frivilious or self centred.. but God centred and in accordance with the father’s will.. just as Jesus drew close 2 the Father through prayer and praise and was able to say at the grave of Lazuras ..

Joh 11:41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast<fo

Joh 11:42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.

This is where we should be striving to get to.. intimacy that leads to outrageous faith..)
