Sweet puppy

Ryan and I are puppy-sitting for his older brother right now, and though the circumstances aren’t good (his brother, who is a heroine addict, is in jail), the puppy is very sweet and I am really enjoying having her around.  Ryan has been wanting to get a dog ever since we moved into the house, so he is in seventh heaven.  Her name is Nico, and we think she is a husky/German shepherd mix.  She’s about 4 months old, and very smart and obedient.  So far we haven’t had any problems with her at all, and I hope it stays that way.  She will be staying with us until November 17th, when Chris has his court date.  After that, we’ll see.  It’s possible that she could live with us forever, which I think would be fine with us.  The weather has been so beautiful here lately, and it’s been good to have the puppy forcing me to spend more time outside (playing frisbee).

Things between Ryan and I are still wonderful, although I must admit that I’m starting to get a little antsy about when he’s going to get around to proposing.  We both know that we want to get married in the not too far off future, so I’m ready for him to ask me and get started with the plans. =)  The truth is, I can’t imagine him actually going into a store, talking to a salesman, and buying me a ring…..he’s so shy with strangers and I’m just not sure he’d do it.  With that in mind, I actually found an online store that seems to be very reputable, with a great selection and return policy….now I just have to figure out how to let him know about it without him knowing that I’m doing it.  He’s pretty old-fashioned about that kind of stuff, and I know he’ll want to do it his own way, but I am sure that something like this would help him a lot.  I’ll figure something out.  At this point I am pinning my hopes on sometime within the next year, although truthfully, I am kind of hoping it will happen in the next six months or so.  God, that makes me feel like such a silly girl. =)

I’m afraid I’ve just kind of been skimming the surface at work lately.  We are in the middle of our big pumpkin sale, so that is the main focus right now, but I also need to be working on other things.  I just don’t seem to have a lot of motivation these days.  I’m just sort of biding my time until I get out of here next May and head back to school.  In the meantime, I am sort of starting to freak out about what I will do for a job while I’m in school, but I suppose I’ll think more about that when the time gets closer.

aww, I bet he’s an adorable puppy! (as they all are, hehe) I hope you guys get to keep him… And if you don’t, you’ll probably end up getting one anyways because once you have a dog in the house it seems lonely without one! And I’m sure Ryan will propose soon! It’s better to be surprised, anyways 🙂

Its great that things are going good for you guys. but I agree that its best to be surprised about the proposal…all in due time…if you know he wants to get married in the near future then don’t fret…cuz you KNOW he’ll ask…just be patient. Take care !
