Babies, babies, everywhere!

It’s really starting to get ridiculous in my little corner of the world.  So many of our friends and family have recently had children or are pregnant.  I thought it might just be that I am noticing it more since I have babies on my mind, but truthfully, it really is a LOT of people we are close with.  I’m so excited for all of my friends. =)

Tonight we went to see our friends who had their first baby last Friday.  At four days old, she is just the sweetest, cutest little pumpkin I have ever seen.  I could have cuddled her all night!  The great part is that being there with them made me realize again that we really are ready for this step in our lives.  I’m sure I’ll continue to have many freak out moments as we try to get pregnant, and then even more once we actually ARE, but I’m writing this here to remind myself…we are ready and it’s going to be fine. =)

Ryan’s 31st birthday is next week, so I’m trying to start getting things together this week in anticipation of his party.  He is really into birthdays, so we have to do things up right.  After all these years, though, I really have things down to a science and we have figured out how to throw an awesome party and not stress out about it too much.  It should be even easier this year since I am not working.  If I can get my lazy butt in gear, I could at least have the house ready by this week, so that we only have to do some light cleaning the day before.  Now if I can just get motivated!  Having so much time on my hands is not that great in terms of getting things done.  I work much better under pressure, and have a tendency to waste time on stupid stuff.  I can’t even tell you what I did today, but I know I didn’t get anything productive done!
