The shower yesterday went off without a hitch.  Everyone loved the onesie idea, especially the mom-to-be.  It gave everyone something to do and a way to interact, which was great since not everyone knew each other.  They all turned out super-cute, and everyone had fun.  I think Jen really enjoyed the afternoon, which was the main idea.  Glad it’s over!

This morning I had a second-ish interview at the charter school.  I went to meet the graduation coach.  I wasn’t nervous about meeting her, but I have been having really mixed feelings about the position and wasn’t sure what  I wanted to happen.  The meeting went great.  I really, really liked the graduation coach.  It turns out that she graduated from the high school closest to my high school (and the school I interned at this year).  Also, she is a youth counselor at a Methodist church that is also really close by the church I worked at for four years.  It was great to find out we had some things in common–it made our conversation so easy. 

Talking with her really put me at ease about the position and made me feel much more confident about my abilities.  I think she would be really easy to work with–actually, I think the entire staff seems really great. 

The good news is that I know now that I am definitely interested in this position–if they offer it to me, I will definitely accept.  Now it is just up to them.  If they don’t offer it to me, I will be disappointed, but I’m sure it will be okay and something else will come along.  They said they’d be making their decision in the next week or two, so now I just have to wait and see.
