Icy Wednesday’s Beautiful Sunset

We live at the Southern tip of Alabama.  We rarely have a rough winter, but this one has been rough.  The other day, the weathermen where predicting snow along the coast starting Tuesday evening.  As the days grew closer, we found out that that the roads would be icy by Tuesday at closing time, so our company closed for Tuesday.  As a programmer with a laptop, I work on projects on weekends and nights when needed, so it was nice that I was able to work from home on my "snow day"

Tuesday came and so did the sleet.  No snow, but lots and lots of icy rain.  We got notice that we’d be closed again on Wednesday.  I woke up this morning and went outside to see the world covered in ice.

Michelle had come over Tuesday and I had cooked a roast in the crockpot.  I also kept a nice fire going and we’ve been warm.  Wednesday was fine.  She worked on her laptop and I worked on mine.  She had to go back home this afternoon.  After I finished work for the day, I rode down to the bay for pictures and got a great sunset.  My hands froze, but I couldn’t walk away…. 

I posted on Facebook that he kept going out and rushing back in to get in front of the fire.
