being sick sucks

I finally feel well enough to start writing again. I thought I had some bad allergies; cedar was blooming and I was coughing, but otherwise I felt fine. The next day I went to work, and had to leave early… A friend picked me up and drove me home, leaving me with a bag of soups and cookies to eat over the next few days…. which was really awesome. I coughed, and coughed, and puked, and coughed, and whined like an irritable 5 year old. I’m finally doing better. Still coughing, but not much is coming up (yet). The coughing stuff up after a cold is always unpleasant for me. Ugh.

Almond is doing well, but he’s so skinny. I’ve been trying to fatten him up, but it’s not working. I feed him wet food, give him snacks, and well… just basically try to fatten him up because he looks kinda skinny and malnourished to me… but after two weeks I don’t see any change. I guess he just has a high metabolism.

The cosmetics gig is on hold for now; my boss says that he doesn’t have a budget for spring yet, so he doesn’t know how many hours a week I’ll be alotted. Translation: I say this now, and in a few weeks I say it again, and then a week after that I tell you that you don’t have a job with us anymore.

That’s okay… I have other jobs to fall back on, and on top of that, I have a closet filled with high end products that I’ve accumulated through the past (almost) two years of quarterly gratis. So I’m set for a while…. it’s gonna suck when I run out of stuff and have to start paying full price for it though. I do love me some black tea moisturizer…

Oh- I did get myself an iPhone for christmas. I love it… even though I can’t get my email on it. My mail is hosted with a crazy service. I’ll try to get that taken care of today… I’ve only had it a few days, but I dig it a lot already.
