Internet Tax

Well it’s finally happening. The republicans are sticking their fithly fingers into the internet. Something that was supposed to be not government regulated, is becoming just that. VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) which is a phone service through the internet originally was not taxed, now as of this month I am getting a federal tax on it. I also heard on the news today the government expects all ebay sales to be recorded as income on our tax forms this year. fuck them. I did not report my ebay income. Buying cigarettes “tax free” online is now another things the dirty politicians are trying to get their sticky fingers on. Some sites say “we do not report to any state or federal agency”. But I’m sure somehow, someway, the government, who is taking advantage of smokers, knowing we will continue to buy cigarettes because we are addicted, will find a way to make sure they get their tax money they are losing because more and more people are refusing to pay the ridiculous tax that keeps going up year after year.

I oppose any and all taxation or regulation of the internet. It’s a shame that money hungry pols want to stick their dirty hands into the net.
