“Nanowritfuckingcraptasitcfest thing” (And voting)

As a friend of a friend put it.  Ha.  Venting now.  But since I already vented to Gen through IM, I’m just going to post some of the highlights here.

And it’s like HEY, midterms are optional too.  You just do it because you want to succeed.  We do Nano and stress out over it because WE want to succeed.  It’s a stressful thing.  And no, no one is MAKING us do it.  Nobody is making her do her midterms, either.  The thing is, it’s an accomplishment.  A HUGE accomplishment, especially for writers.  We went in knowing it was going to be hard and it was going to be stressful.  Eff it, dude.  It’s not fair of her to say shit like that.  And it’s also really crappy.  Treating something that’s important to your friends like it’s insignificant and worthless is almost like treating your FRIENDS like that.  It’s saying that something they’re working towards is dumb and pointless, even when it could mean a LOT to them.

Just… arrrrgh.  And then the whole voting thing kinda makes me mad, too.  Cus yeah, maybe she doesn’t have time to vote, but she damn well could’ve gotten an absentee ballot mailed to her.  So she better not bitch about the election or anything government related for the next four years after making a big deal about not voting and people on her friends list WANTING her to vote, or she’s actually going to hear it from me. xD  I mean, if you don’t want to/don’t feel like voting, then fine.  But if you’re going to make a huge deal about how your friends list needs to shut up about it because you have more important things to do, then you better not bitch about politics in the near future. … ::cough::  I think it’s all up to your own opinions and feelings and stuff on whether or not you want to vote.  It’s just not fair to make a big deal about not voting and then bitch about politics afterwards, in my opinion.

( ::Deeeeep breathes.:: Okay.  And just so everyone is clear?  I voted already AND I’m stressed out thanks to my term paper coming up in ancient civ, but I’m doing nanowrimo anyway!  Because I know how to manage my time and I freaking FEEL LIKE IT, okay!?  I want to write a damn novel in a month and I damn well WILL, whether people think it’s a stupid thing to do or not.  I am going to accomplish something.  So eff ewe. )
