The luxury of sharing
I’m thankful that I have the luxury to share my talents. Last year was a remarkable one for history and this year is looking to be the same. In order to respond to these changes, many have made the transition to virtual spaces, selling products or services online for the first time. I feel incredibly blessed that I’ve been able to help as many people as I could and do make this transition.
There’s so much competition in the world and focus on scarcity. Moreover, these spaces of competition are riddled with inequality and disadvantages. I’ve been able to help friends, strangers, and loved ones see possibilities and progress. It’s more than “doing the thing,” the techno wizardry and magical strategies that gets entrepreneurs online. Sharing space for the stories of dreams and contemplations challenges is part of the gift too.
I know this year I’ll be redirecting my focus back to paid projects, but I’ve gotten more personal satisfaction out of the hundreds of hours of volunteer work I’ve provided in the last year than all of the work I’ve done in the last 5.
I’ve been able to share in other ways meaningful to me. I’ve been on the receiving end of all kinds of help and I don’t take for granted the ways in which I am advantaged. Having been on the receiving end, I feel the blessing of, “I can do this! It’s my turn to give. I have abundance to share!” It’s a marvelously blessed place to be in.
