Queen T and the hunt for Cash

I got the phone job, and I hated the first night, which was awful mostly due the complete lack of training. We were just plonked in front of the forms and phones and told to start. I had no idea and battled through three hours of it. With each shift I got better and more comfortable with the script (all three pages of it) but I’ve yet to raise money.

Queen T came and stayed with me for a couple of nights which was great. We are both not really enjoying where we are in life at the moment, I dont like being poor, and she doesnt like her life in London. However we both realise that we are where we are for good reasons, and there wasnt much to do except stick it out. Ill finish my MSc and get a job, and she’ll finish her PhD then be able to move around when she looks at post-doc positions. It really highlighted my dissatissfaction with things at the moment though. Not so happy flat and finances etc.

GSM is coming rounfd for dinner and drinking chess tonight (dont ask) so Ive cooked and cleaned this morning. I dont know why that is important. I have also finally made a start on a piece of coursework which is due in on Wednesday. Got some really nice review articles to stimulate me. Only have Sunday, Monday day-time and Tuesday afternoon to do it though. Eeek!

ryn: i’m quite a big fan of Dell. I got one for my parents a few months ago and you can’t really beat the prices unless you get some really dodgy crap. Dont know much about the printers, but the PC’s are hard to fault.

phone job is all good, at least you don’t have to do make a concious effort to get ready for work after a full night out!
