Banks and Bankers

I’m really not getting on with my flatmate. She is incapable of compromising over the slightest thing. I am at my wit’s end. I dont think I can live with her any longer, but my course doesnt finish until September, and I cant afford to live alone, and I like my flat and other flatmate!

I have such a crush on a straight boy. He has a heart of gold and is so amazingly funny. He’s such a laugh to be around. It’s crept up on me slowly, and I only realised that when he drunkenly phoned me (twice) on Saturday to ask why I wasnt in the pub with everyone else (money and work were my excuses). He told me that he had something important to tell me, and that I really needed to be there with him that night. I refused, and then he “joked” that the important news was that he had ended his engagement (yeah, hes not just straight but engaged.) and has come out, and he really needed to see me. I didnt think for a second it was true, but it was weird, I definitely got a thrill from the idea. I am a realist and I know it will never happen. I just need to transfer my crush to someone else.

Also, the bank have refused to increase my overdraft without proof of income (Im a full time student so…uhm…), proof that I am a student (my acceptance letter from my course organiser not enough?) and proof that this is my only bank account. Quite how I am meant to prove I dont have something that I am meant to not have is a philosophical question indeed.

Chinese proverb say  “people in charge of overdrafts in banks are stupid”.

Ahhh…..annoying housemates….a subject close to my own heart 🙂 Have you tried ignoring and avoiding yours? It’s the only thing that works for me.

RYN: The people were really nice. I got on well with them all and had a good time. I should know better than let myself get worked up about that kind of thing, becuase it’s rarely as bad as I imagine it’s going to be.
