Soy says thanks too….

I told Soy what you said about her pictures and her site. Her response was exptremely surprising. She said “Thank you so much for all of the compliments. I would have been satisfied with a quarter of them. Between me and you, Giraffe, Spaghetti and you are such succesful girls and I am always so proud of you, that I always wanted to be like you so you would have a reason to be proud of me as well. I hope I am in the right direction…”

who knew? I always thought she was the most talanted of us all! I still think so!

RYN: Xenia and Zhenia are unrelated. Xenia in Greek means “hospitality”. This word penetrated to Hebrew in ancient times and gave us “akhsania”. By the way, there is no connection between “akhsania” and “machsan”, the latter coming from Arameic root ch.z.n. Zhenia is short of Eugenia, which is feminie for Eugenios – “well born” in Greek. “Eu” means good, “gen” birth.

RYN: How names change over time! Have seen the commercial of Migdal insurance? They have today’s children grown old and retired. Their names are “grandma Tsuf”, “grandpa Tom”, etc 🙂
