Gerty (17)

Johnny was surprised the comfort he felt from telling Gerty he loved her. Once she seemed agreeable to the idea everything they were going through seemed to make alot more sense. They had created some mayhem but such is life. Those folks could have as easily been hit by a bus or gotten sick and died. Johnny was comfortable in his rationalizations and after all he hadn’t killed anyone so far. Gerty certainly deserved a little revenge on the world after her own suffering so Johnny thought "shit happens" and everybody dies sooner of later.
The ride was smooth and uneventful but the Camaro was not all that great when it came to the long haul The front seat did not make it easy for Gerty to sit close which she loved to do. It was time to get another vehicle. With Denver in sight there will be plenty of opportunity ahead. The big town might be interesting anyway as it was October 30th and Halloween was right around the corner. It was already dark and just after seven when bright lights in the distance shown high into the sky. This may be just the place to scoop up another car and get shopping done for the road ahead. Luck was on their side as a large strip mall came into view with a lot full of cars. Certainly there always was the fool who left their car unlocked and even a spare set of keys in the visor.
Before Johnny could consider working the parking lot Gerty had noticed a seasonal Halloween store was open in the mall.
"Costumes Johnny!" Gerty squealed.
"We have got to get some costumes."
Johnny knew that this was not going to up to debate so he thought why not. Gerty was so easily amused and she seemed to have Halloween written all over her personality anyway. Johnny noticed that there was a grocery store in the mall and suggested that he go buy road treats and Gerty go in and look at the costumes.
Gerty ran into the store and was delighted to see all the pretty colors and makeup. She was very hopeful Johnny would like her choices and thought getting something sexy might invite some extracurricular activities later. Gerty thought a vampire look might be good but needed to find the adult section as she wanted to show some leg with stockings. Eventually she found what she was looking for and looked forward to trying on costumes and surprising Johnny when he came in the store. Gerty did not have a great understanding of appropriate shopping and opened some of the make up to take in the dressing room to put together her costume before actually buying anything. Luckily the store was busy and none of the employees noticed her unothodoxe shopping method’s.
Gerty quickly stripped and tried on a few costumes wanting to get just the perfect outfit for Johnny. She wanted to be sexy and scary. With her clothes off her arsenal of two knives and a 22 semi automatic handgun lay exposed on the sitting bench. Gerty never concerned herself with who saw what as she lost her fear of others long ago. Pleasing the man who loved her was Gerty’s new addiction along with making sure no one ever got in the way of them being together forever.
Gerty looked into the mirror and was happy with her selection. She had found a tight fitting one piece that had a high slit on her right thigh that went to the hip. Gerty thought Johnny would think that she was very sexy. Gerty also had darkened under her eyes to make the effect of a scary vampire and also padded some white face powder to increase the effect of the vampire look. Fangs were also tried on and seemed suprisingly realistic. Gerty was very pleased. The knives were slipped into her stocking under her dress and the handgun rolled up in her clothes. Everything seemed just perfect until Gerty was ready to go back into the store. It was then she finally focused on the others in the dressing room that had been talking loudly. Apparently some men were also in the dressing area talking to the other females who were in trying on some costumes. Whatever was going on the girls seemed displeased. Gerty opened the dressing room door to find two young men on their knees looking under the door to the neighboring dressing room while the girl’s yelled at the to get the hell out. The men looked at Gerty and one of them said,
"Well, what do we have here?"
Gerty’s eyes seemed to glaze over for a bit as she appraised the situation. She did not react to the question and just seemed to stare at the two men. Both were in costumes, one being a zombie and the other a murderous looking clown.
"Hot damn sweetheart you are one smoking hot vamp. Why don’t ya come on over and chew on my neck? " the clown asked.
Gerty dropped her rolled up clothes. Gerty started to murmur under her breath just as the two girls came out of the dressing room. She twisted her dress to the left slightly exposing her intimates and one of the knives that was in her stocking. Sadly for the men they did not see this as anything more than costuming.

Johnny walked into the dressing room area.
