earth she sleeps

Autumn leaves dance in the sky
then to the earth where there they lie
colored carpet to roll in deep
summer finally takes her sleep

Steel-grey clouds wink winter sun
icy flakes of what’s to come
Sol he slips to southern skies
behind stark trees, forlorned he lies

Wind whips fresh, cold and clean
Earth she sleeps her celestial dream
always waiting to be redone
awakes, turns green with spring time sun

I heart fall. This describes her perfectly.

My favorite…Hoodie and shorts weather 🙂

R: Tryst…perfect word. I do think about what would happen if we have a falling out. Work would be difficult, the day in and day out with my “lover” right next to me. But I have put my faith in friendship first. Sounds naive…but we seem to make it work.

Interesting though how the Northern and Southern hemispheres swap seasons. When one is threw with the Summer or the Winter, it trades it with the other hemisphere. Spring and Summer would be my favs. ; )

I love autumn’s crunchiness.

Thank you. Wisdom. And I agree about the crunchiness.
