It’s been a minute

Getting better but still dealing with some sickness. I’ve pulled a muscle on both sides of my ribs from coughing. I’ve went through two rounds of antibiotics and steriods. I’m taking ibuprofen religiously and my ears are still clogged. So now using ear drops for that. I remember getting really sick after my dad died to the point I was breaking out in hives, so maybe this isn’t the worse I’ve been, but close.

2025 has started out with a bang and continues on with its antics.

Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has resigned today due to political unrest within the Liberal Party. I don’t know much about him other then hearing from many Canadians that they didn’t like him. According to Aljazeera, Trudeau was facing decline in the polls. Canadians did not like housing affordability, inflation, public debt and Healthcare, as well as soaring numbers of immigrants entering the country. Also they were worried about Trump’s incoming presidency and the tariffs he will supposedly imposed on them. Of course, Trump had to put his two cents in on social media calling Canada the “51st state.” He also claims Trudeau resigned because Canada relies on subsidies from the U.S. but that statement has yet to be validated.

Congress has formally certifies Trump as the election winner. Oh thank goodness. None other than Vice President Harris declared Trump the winner. And of course there had to be reminders of 4 year ago on this day when the insurrection that took place. They had the fences up and extra security in place in case there would be another civil unrest like that one. Were they hoping there would be one? Most of America got what they wanted. Nobody cares. Anyway, Trump vows to pardon many of the rioters involved in that infamous day. He goes as far as calling them ‘hostages’. That’s a bit much especially considering there are real hostages being held by Hamas.

Speaking of the Israel/Hamas war, Gaza has released a list of 34 hostages they will release under truce with Israel. US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken is really pushing for a ceasefire before Biden leaves office. Trump stated there will be “hell to pay” in the middle east if the hostages are not freed before inauguration January 20th.

Benjamin Netanyahu is not pleased with the list and claims they were already given this list back in July and Hamas has not verified if the hostages are dead or alive. Hamas says they will not free them until there is an agreement made and Israel withdrawals. Israel basically says fuck that. They will continue to obliterate Hamas until all hostages are freed. Which means more lives will be lost in Gaza.

China is slowly trying to take over Taiwan while everybody’s distracted.

More than 30 dolphins died due to an oil spill in the Black Sea. Fitting name now. Two Russian oil tankers were damaged during a storm in mid-December. Several dolfins being washed up on shore were label endangered.

BTW, what happened to all the drones citings and UFOs?
