[update, dogs]
Life is hectic, as I expected. Work is work, and school is somewhat insane. But things are going well. School is more interesting this semester, as we are finally starting to learn some clinical things and actually apply things and develop new skills. So far, we haven’t learned any skills that I don’t already possess from work, but there are things just around the corner that I am excited for. In the mean time, I am able to help out the girls at my lab table as they are learning.
Greg officially applied yesterday for the job where his BIL works (the job was delayed in getting posted). I am really keeping my fingers crossed for this – it would mean so many good things.
In completely unrelated news, after two years of anxiety (both general and separation anxiety) issues, we decided to put Blue (our female dog) on Prozac. She started this past weekend. She seems to be tolerating it well, but it will be at least 3-4 weeks until we notice any results. And even then, we might have to adjust the dose. I am hopeful that we see some improvement with her – she deserves to have a less anxious life. Dozer’s allergies have been acting up, resulting in some pretty hard core flare-ups on his feet. Finally, after two different types of anti-histamines, we did a trial of a medication that is anti-histamine + low-dose steroid, and that seems to have done the trick. There has been a lot of animal related stuff lately! I am thankful for my job for many reasons, but it is hard to overlook the phenomenal employee discount that I get.
Other than that, life is normal. It’s about bedtime, so I better get off here and get some sleep.
