[embracing fall]

I’m having a hard time letting go of summer this year. I am so not ready for it to end. Not looking forward to a Michigan winter. But… in my quest to try and remain positive, I am looking for ways to embrace fall.

It’s hard to feel bad on my commute when I see all the gorgeous fall colors. The leaves are changing, and will be at their peak soon. And I’m getting into the things that will sustain me through the winter – cozy blankets, comfort food (currently have homemade vegetable beef soup in the crock pot), warm sweatshirts.

And even though the boat is covered and the camping gear is packed away in the garage, I know I have another summer to look forward to. We are hopefully going to be taking a tour of the upper peninsula next year, and I will spend the winter planning our routes and destinations. Plus camping, and boating. I just have to keep telling myself… it will be warm again before you know it!
