[and breathe]

My mind is much calmer now that Christmas is over! This was a stressful holiday season, and though it was enjoyable, I’m glad to be done. I have exactly two weeks until classes resume, and lots to do. Thankfully it’s all stuff that can be done at home… no running around!

Christmas was good for us! We spent time with my mom and sister, Greg’s family, and some friends. We have two friends in town from New York, who we saw both on Christmas Eve and Day. That was enjoyable – we don’t get to see them that often since they moved. They came to our house Christmas Eve for a couple hours (and we stayed up until 2:00am!). Then on Christmas Day we headed to my Mom’s house at 12:00, where we ate with her and my sister, then my uncle and aunt stopped by for a bit (who we also don’t see often because they live two hours away). After that we headed to Greg’s parents’ house for dinner. Then over to our friend’s mom’s house to visit. I was beat by the time we got home, but managed to sort through our gifts and put things in their new homes before bed.

Today was a bit of a lazy day. We watched some tv this morning with our coffee, then had lunch and did the dishes and laundry together. We played a video game for a bit, and then took the dogs for about an hour long walk. When we got home, I made some dinner and we ate, then I packed Greg up some food and sent him off to work. He is working 6pm to 4am tonight and tomorrow night, which is unusual.

There’s really not a whole lot new and exciting around here. Which is probably a good thing given how busy we’ve been! I’m going to try and enjoy the next two weeks, and get in as much relaxation as possible before school starts up again. My schedule is going to be insane, and I’ve been brainstorming some ideas to try and keep things manageable. Wish me luck!
