January 1, 2010
This was the perfect day. I cleaned a little, napped
a little, posted a bunch of stuff on ebay and got caught
up on some of my dvr’d shows. I am waiting for the
huge storm to hit. I (not so) secretly love it when we
have huge snow storms and I do not have to go out!
I can fiddle fart to my hearts content:)
This year I will turn 40 and am finding myself making
lots of changes. I can no longer deal with having so
much "crap" in my house, so I have been slowly selling
stuff off. I have also found myself unable to deal with
people who have no basic respect. (example: I talked
with a couple of friends about doing a little cooking party
on new years eve, after sending two e-mails and one msg
on facebook-not a single word back. They were psyched
at the thought of it and then couldn’t bother to reply?)
So I have simply removed them from my facebook page
and e-mail address book and will just not bother trying.
I would rather just be home alone than dealing with people
who are so busy/important to take the three seconds to
reply to a message. I can deal with it when my cats ignore
me, THAT is expected! But people? No can do.
I have also found myself unable to deal with the drama at
work. When someone has a problem there are certain folks
who just expect the rest of us to fall all over the place making
a huge deal out of whatever the latest problem is. But should
we have a problem? Whatever, it cannot POSSIBLY be as bad
of a problem as theirs. We ALL know how this story goes:)
I have developed a "get over yourself" attitude and it is going
to carry me through the year. Two weeks ago I ended up in
the emergency room with chest pains-though I knew it was not
my heart-it scared the shit out of my 18 year old son. A girl at
work actually made the "shoo shoo" motion when I was talking
about it with my boss so that she could then go on and on and on
about the fact that there were no MEATBALLS on the Christmas
Party Menu. Chest pains (which turned out to be anxiety) compared
to meatballs. Uh, yeah………meatballs. Oh and guess what? The
day before the party she went to the emergency room with chest
pains. I’ll hold on now so you can go roll your eyes:O)
I think I will go back to fiddle farting around and playing with my
cats.
Happy New Year!
