What were you doing at 8 am this morning? Sleeping.

What were you doing 30 minutes ago? Was at the joint 1st birthday party for four of Max’s friends. I got to see a dozen of my mom friends that I haven’t seen in a while. It’s winter and our get togethers aren’t as frequent as usual. I’ve been spending time with a handful of mom friends that I’m closest with but it was great seeing everyone. Am very happy that we have plans to get together the next few weekends for more parties and that Eric will come to these. He stayed home today.

What is your favorite holiday? It’s always been Thanksgiving but now it’s Christmas. There’s something so fun about small people opening toys for gifts.

Have you ever been to another country? Yes. Only three though.

What is the last thing you said aloud? “Love you, buddy.”

What is the best ice cream flavor? Dark chocolate with dark chocolate chips.

What was the last thing you had to drink? Pink lemonade

What are you wearing right now? A little blue gray short sleeved top. A pair of skinny jeans and a ton of bangles. No shoes.

What was the last thing you ate? An adorable finger sandwich of chicken salad at the party. Several of those, actually

Have you bought any new clothing items this week? Nope.

When was the last time you ran? I don’t run, unless its a short sprint after Max. I get ridiculously bad shin splints so if forced to exercise its usually fast walking.

What’s the last sporting event you watched? Eric had boxing on last night.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? Vegas. Kid free. Then somewhere very tropical where I could lay in the sun all day, swim in the ocean and eat a lot. Decadence, please.

Ever go camping? No. Never been a fan of camping.

Do you have a tan? Nope. It’s February. I got a bit of color last summer from going to the beach and different pool parties with Max and friends, but it wasn’t on purpose. Just a lovely by product.

Have you ever lost anything down a toilet? I have not. Although when I was a kid, I found a sapphire ring in a toilet.

Do you use smiley faces on the computer a lot? Depends on who I’m corresponding with. But no, not a lot. Sometimes.

Do you drink your soda from a straw? I rarely drink soda but when I do, I prefer it without a straw. I’d rather spend the calories on pizza!

What are you doing tomorrow? Going over to one of my mom friends houses along with two other mom friends and respective babes. It’s in the high 70’s so we want some outdoor backyard time for us and the kidlets. We will also be consuming In N Out. This has been planned in advance. No, wait, that’s Monday. Tomorrow we probably won’t do much of anything. Maybe we’ll go out to lunch?

What do you think of when you think of Australia? It’s now 2 days later and 8am in the morning. Max usually wakes up at 9 but is waking up an hour earlier lately. I realize this is a good problem to have, but damn it feels early! Plus, Dad has been letting me sleep in in the mornings and waking up with him lately so I’m extra out of it. So, Australia? Um, Koalas, I guess. That’s as good as I’ve got.

Ever ridden on a roller coaster? Loads of times. Love, love, love them.

Do you go in at a fast food place or just hit the drive thru? Neither, usually. I really don’t like fast food for the most part. In N Out doesn’t count. But if it happens, it’s the drive thru

Do you have a dog? No. We’ll probably get Max a dog when he’s a little older though.

Last person you talked to on the phone? Eric a few days ago. Who needs the phone when texting is available?? I’ve even got my mom fluent in texting.

Any plans today? Today I’m doing the thing I said I was doing in a previous question. Going over to my friends house, with several other friends, and all the little ones. Will leave in an hour or two.

Are you happy? Yes. Very.

Where are you right now? Sitting in the comfiest chair in the house while The Boy eats his breakfast with a side of Yo Gabba Gabba.

Biggest annoyance in your life right now? Fatigue.

Last movie you saw? Life of Pi. Every Friday, I drop the boy off at my parents house and have a few hours to myself. Often I’ll fill this time by seeing a movie. It’s glorious. But since I’ve seen everything good, I was forced to reconsider ones I hadn’t seen and Life of Pi was the only one left that I’d not seen but had excellent reviews. It just didn’t really interest me, which is why I’d put it off. But oh my goodness, I’m glad I finally saw it! So, so ridiculously amazingly good. Now I’m pissed at my past self for not reading the book ages ago.

Are you jealous of anyone? Child free people! I kid, I kid. Well, sort of. I’d not trade Max for anything in the world, but damn it’d be nice to have nothing to do all weekend and no one to take care of every so often.
