My 24th Birthday…

Today is my 24th birthday and it is raining.  🙁  Hobbes won’t go outside in the rain to go potty, so I’m monitoring him to make sure he doesn’t try to go anywhere else.  At the moment he is happily annihilating his 3rd rawhide bone in a week.  He has a bit of bone goo stuck to his nose–it’s kind of cute and kind of gross.  I’ve become such a dog mommy.

Nothing terribly interesting or fun has happened today.  My boss took me out to lunch and let me go home early, so that was nice.  Then I helped Carly go grocery shopping on her lunch break.  Now I’m just relaxing until she gets off work so I can go spend the night at her place.  It’s funny–we’re 24 and 25 and we still have sleepovers.  Of course, those will end next month when she gets married, but they’ve been nice while they’ve lasted.

Carly’s parents got me a $25 gift certificate to Kohl’s.  Carly got me "No Man Knows My History" by Fawn Brodie.  It’s supposed to be a really great biography of Joseph Smith Jr. (for those who are not members of the church).  I’m looking forward to classes being over this quarter so I actually have time to read it.  I haven’t seen my parents since before Ken broke up with me, but I’m sure they have a nice card for me.

According to the life map I made last January, here’s what I’m supposed to be doing while I’m 24:

"ge 24 (2009-2010): Graduate from Wright State University and explore options.  Consider graduate school, but also seek a full-time job (possibly at WPAFB).  A job that pays for grad school would be ideal."

I’ll accomplish the first part by graduating next March.  I’m probably not going to go to grad school, but who knows?  Of course I’d like a full-time job, and hopefully that will happen soon after graduation.
