Blink
Yesterday wasn’t much. Work was slow, so I got all caught up, and listened to some new podcasts. They were all fine, but I particularly enjoyed one that is relatively new and aims to be a complete liberal arts education. So far, I have only gotten through the introductory material and an episode on logic, but it’s well reasoned and understandable, which is nice. There should be plenty to keep going through it this week, and it will be good to listen to going forward, as well.
In the evening, I listened to my audiobook on the way home and stopped at the grocery store. I got some ingredients to make soup last night, as well as curry later this week, and pork and sauerkraut tonight. I made the soup when I got home, and then we watched more Chuck, and arranged for Matt and Ryan to come over for New Year’s Eve. I also called my mom, since she will be staying at our house on Friday night with my aunt and uncle before heading on to Williamsburg for a while to celebrate my aunt’s birthday. Hopefully, that will be a nice evening, and not take over too much of Saturday, since I think we would like to spend some time on hobbies and the like (Megan has several knitting projects to work on, and I wouldn’t mind some time to work on fleshing out this campaign setting I have got in my head, or working on that blog I’ve been considering. Anyhow, I’m sure we could find things to do. I suppose Jim will be planting the hedges that I’m not wild about this weekend, and Megan will probably get us roped into helping him. I guess I should try to take that in stride if it does happen, even if it’s not what I would have picked.
