The Simpsons as the mother of invention?

General

Remember the Simpsons episode that featured tomacco(crossbred tomato and tobacco)? Well, Rob Baur of Lake Oswego, Oregon has done it in real life and the two grow well as one. Being from the same family of plants, it seems.

Microsoft forgets to renew their hotmail.co.uk domain. Fortunately the domain was snapped up by a good samaritan who immediately contacted MS to give it back. After some stonewalling on it, the domain will soon be given back to it’s unworthy owners. The same happened in 1999 with passpoert.com, the good samaritan that day being a Linux programmer. And you know what, I bet MS didn’t even give a nice reward to these selfless folks, despite the positive PR effects it would have had.

Traffic Court follies. Sometimes the system is just plain stupid.

I can’t believe the unions endorsed Dean. I just can’t believe it. Gephardt has been 110% union for 30 years and he or Leiberman are the only candidates that can possibly beat Bush. Clinton barely beat Bush Sr. with a recession and Clinton faked so far to the right he made Gephart and Leiberman look liberal. This is going to be McGovern/Nixon all over again.
