News – Keep on Rolling Geneva Accord!

Perhaps someone will finally get some progress on forcing the leaders of Israel and Palestine to make peace.

Israel/Palestine

The Geneva Accord seems to be picking up steam. If it is distributed to every household, explained in sold out meetings and generally wins the approval of the Israeli people, will Sharon be able to simply dismiss it? Not if he likes wearing the leader hat.

The deadline for Qurie to form a government has passed, but Arafat has converted the emergency cabinet into a caretaker government, giving matters another week at most. Now if only he would stop being such a roadblock to progress. :p

British arms are still being sold to Israel, even though an agreement that they not be used in occupied territories is being breached. British Human Rights groups are not pleased to find this out.

The heart of the US forces in Iraq has been struck for a second time by mortar attack. Four wounded in yet another slap in the face by bold, far too successful rebels.

Bremer does a partial 180 and will give conditional support to an Iraqi led provisional force to hunt down partisans. The Iraqi council wants to include former Iraq security services members and members of political party militias.

Today’s Papers has Mark Medish’s hypocrisy, low numbers in believing Iraq is all that important to the war on terror, Arnold’s picking of a well-regarded environmental officer and more.

A less than flattering review of Matrix: Revolutions. I repeat my earlier mantra for another flick. Screw the critics. I enjoyed the second installment of the series despite the nay saying of the critics and I have no doubt that when I go on Friday to see this one, I’ll leave with a smile on my face and another DVD waiting to enter my growing collection.
