News – Bin Laden’s Back

In tape form anyway. Seems Bush isn’t the only one who plays with timing.

No good news, however.

Iraq

Quote Bin Laden: Make Iraq a Graveyard for US.

US forces are getting closer and closer to Saddam again. Just like last time. And the time before that. Hmmm.

A look into the aftermath of the recent Jerusalem cafe bombing.

Spain

Spain will be trying Tayseer Alouni, an Al Jazeera journalist, for aiding Al Qaeda. He is known for interviewing Bin Laden shortly after the 9/11 attacks. He denies the allegations and says he was delivering money to Syrian exiles in Afghanistan and Turkey as a gesture of solidarity.

Iran

Russia and South Africa are being nudged to back the Oct 31st deadline for Iran to prove it isn’t making nukes. Iran has rejected the deadline and threatens to reevaluate its cooperation with the UN if hassled too greatly.

US

Another critical flaw in windows. Best to be patching yourself up ASAP.

A good article on the War on Terror with reports that suggest we aren’t really having much of an impact overall. Dealing with the symptoms, rather than the disease hasn’t lessened terror in the world.

Today’s Papers has some technical problems, so no outside links. But it is a good base from which to search for the articles in question. The 9/11 Patriot Act appeal is there, as is the overtime adjustment denial. And more, as always.
