Muse – On Mystery Noters and the Judiciary

To the first, my diary is my own. You may think it pathetic, but thus far that is a minority opinion amongst those I have been given. However, if you think it is bad, what would you suggest for me to improve it? What about it do you not like?

Statements like that one will not help my improve it, so perhaps you could elaborate on your point?

As to the other, no I haven’t looked at the Blackmun papers. As to Judicial Activism, what it means to me is a handy buzz word that people can use to bash on court decisions that don’t fit with their ideology. Something more common now that courts are starting to poke their fingers into hot button emotional, social and cultural issues.

I did some web searches on the Blackmun papers, but have come across quite a bit more material than I can easily cover and pull into a coherent knowledge base. Perhaps you could elaborate on just what reveals to you the problem of ‘Judicial Activism’ and why you feel it requires Congress have the ability to overrule the highest court in the land?

Perhaps in ten years we’ll spawn a new term. Congressional activism.

Oh and if you want to discuss things with me, next time leave a point of contact. I allow all notes, mostly because I want to give everyone a chance to give feedback, but it is annoying when people leave no name and no means of differentiating one mystery note from another. It’s rude.

I wouldn’t worry about someone who doesn’t have the guts to leave a name. I think your diary is very interesting, even though I lurk & read more then post.
