Me – Whatsoever Comes

I had a nice question just posed to me, so I thought I’d answer it.

The gist of one part, what am I to do once my topic of the moment(largely Iraq) passes by. Well, not too much will change overall. I did news before the Iraq war came up and I’ll continue to, though the picked news bits likely won’t be as controversial as the ones I’ve been delving into as of late.

I’ll probably keep the same format, though I’ll likely stick with Slate and Reuters mostly. Since the Guardian does primarily UK news, most of it doesn’t hit me very much, but I’ll likely still look in form time to time.

One thing to be said about my diary is that, by and large, it isn’t here for me, save for an outlet of the thoughts in my head about the world at large. Its more of a showcase and entertainment spot than a window into my soul, though I do post occasional entries about me.

I don’t write much about myself because, overall, I’m a pretty boring guy. I’m a HS graduate who ever flunked a grade and never got into much trouble. I never did drugs, my family was pretty good(though my folks are currently divorced, but it doesn’t effect me much like it does some), I haven’t had any friends try to utterly destroy me emotionally. I don’t carouse, I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, I don’t have any unsavory habits per se(Some of this is matter of opinion). I’m a homebody for the most part, interested in computers, games, a little TV, a little movies, books, Macintosh computers, discussing the issues and not too much else and tends to live day to day in a comfortable rut.

With so little conflict in life, this would be a pretty boring diary if it was all me all the time. What I put of myself into this diary consists of my thoughts and opinions. Those are the most ‘exciting’ part of me. I’ve also done some investigation into various matters that have drawn my interest. From the lie of diamond rarity, to Satanism, to musings on nature and nurture, to the past movement against the Dungeons and Dragons RPG, I’ve had a lot of interesting topics.

I’ve often railed against religious zealots, which I’ve shelved for the time being. I think I’ve said all that is to be said on that. From the Harry Potter haters to the ones who think Pokemon are demonic. Silly silly.

And peppered through all are spots of humor, notes on some of the music I like, interesting sites and flash animation.

This site has a little of everything. Even a few pics of me for the intrepid to seek out. 😉

When it comes to me, there’s rarely anything more to add, but when I do you’ll see the little ‘Me’ designation, like above.

Oh and to answer the other questions, my desires for the future largely include living a quiet, comfortable life, my hobbies are as above. Computers, games, etc.. And I do some database programming with Microsoft Visual FoxPro for work. I’m out of school and don’t know yet if I’ll seek any further education.

If you have any more questions, you just have to ask. 😉

::adds her own p.s.:: You also take the time to be there for me and others, daily. Helping me stay stable by keeping company, caring and being the best friend I’ve ever had. You’re a remarkable man, in my very biased opinion.. because of how different you are from anyone I’ve ever met. Because you’re my rock 🙂 So naw.. you’re not boring 😉

the above diarist was right – at the moment you’re one of the few things keeping me marginally sane (or less insane), so thank you for that. i owe you a great deal.

*snugs* 🙂

Thank you. You sound like the man I looked for when I was young. A real Man of quality. Ah have you read the entire works of OZ by Frank Baum and also Ruth Plumbly Thomson. The books by Frank Baum are not just childrens stories. He was brilliant with word and ideas. I think that is what I liked best is it is easy enough for a child and much more involved with adult experience/thinking.
