Me – State of the Ren

Well, I’ll admit it. I’ve been slacking heavily. I haven’t forgotten about my latest Wordplay with Poser. I’ve been distracted by the arrival of UT 2004 and have been happily playing that one to death for the last week and two weekends. The file is nearly done, though.. all I really have to do is get a certain background, figure out how to put it in and tweak the figure to get the precise effect that I want. Making fog didn’t’ work well, so I’m going for another look that I figured out. The key is to actually do it, however. :p I’ll try to do that tonight before UT takes over again.

Speaking of which, I’ve found Unreal Tournament 2004 to be a delight. I’ve nearly finished the single player aspect to it, though the last battle with the toughest bot in the game is giving me fits. Online, I still get creamed more often than not, but the fun is in the trying. And it is sweet when you get some good hits on others. Nothing is more satisfying than coming around a corner, practically nose to nose with an enemy, giving them a face full of Flack Cannon before they can blink. Little bits of the foe everywhere. 😉

Overall, life is generally good. I work, I play, I do my taxes, I rant my piece and continue to exist in my simple, but pleasing state. Can’t complain too much about most things, so I won’t and will keep focus on those things important to me.
